ABOUT ME

The technique that brought me to painting more than 20 years ago still inspires me: egg tempera, the medium of the old masters. The colors shine particularly beautifully thanks to the finest pure color pigments. I also like to work with charcoal, pastels, graphite, moor lye and acrylic paints and combine everything in my works on canvas or paper.

What comes out at the end actually only emerges when painting. At the beginning there is usually my feeling for a shape, color or mood - inspired by nature or simply by small everyday moments. Landscape, people and architecture intuitively become surfaces and lines, sometimes it remains representational, sometimes it becomes abstract, but it is always something personal. I find it particularly beautiful when my pictures inspire and appeal to people.

I came to art via detours. First of all, a decent degree in business administration, work in marketing and, again and again, painting on the side. And at some point it was clear to me: I want to do this.
